The Monarch

This project involves the development of a new mixed-use affordable housing residential project at the site located at 805 R Street in Sacramento. The project site is approximately 1.5± acres and is bounded by 8th Street to the west, Quill Alley to the north, 9th Street to the east, and R Street to the south. The proposed development includes a five-story building consisting of 241 affordable housing units and approximately 3,428 square feet of ground-floor commercial space. The existing site currently consists of a commercial-type building with parking along the R Street frontage and additional on-site parking adjacent to Quill Alley.

Cartwright services included preliminary civil engineering design, lot merger, design development, preparation of a preliminary water and sewer study, on-site and off-site civil improvement plans, a drainage study, storm water pollution plan (SWPPP), encroachment permit processing, agency submittals and coordination, and bidding and construction assistance.
