Oak Park Art Garden

This project involves the development of a new community garden located at the northwest corner of Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard and 12th Avenue Bypass. The project site is approximately 17,000 square feet. The proposed improvements include the installation of a pollinator garden, ADA-compliant pathways, edible and native shrubs, site furnishings, a paved patio with a shade structure, a wood fence and gate, an artistic gateway entry feature, and solar light poles. Additional elements include two shipping containers for secure storage and utility connections to the City’s water and sewer systems to support a unisex restroom facility for events, a drinking fountain, hose spigot, and a smart irrigation system.

Cartwright services provided included survey services, entitlement services, construction documents, and construction administration.
