PROJECTS
Brooks Truitt Dog Park, Sacramento
Cartwright Nor Cal worked with CADA and the City of Sacramento on the civil design of the Brooks Truitt Dog Park, an approximately 0.75 acre lot located on the southwest corner of 19th Street and Q Street in Sacramento. The site was the conversion of an empty brownfield lot into a City dog park and was completed in 2017. Our services included grading, drainage and utility design, as well as full sidewalk frontage and parkway strip improvements. Vehicular access points were successfully negotiated to create visual interest while balancing the site and gaining City approval.

The Didion and 2413 J Street, Sacramento, CA
Cartwright Nor Cal was part of the project team that developed adjacent projects along a vibrant stretch of the 2400 block of J Street in Midtown Sacramento. The Didion is a four-story mixed use building and 2413 J Street is a multi-tenant retail renovation of the former Cuilla Brothers Auto Garage. Cartwright designed frontage improvements for both projects that included bike racks, outdoor café seating areas, and raised planters while meeting Urban Forestry tree protection requirements and gaining City approvals of the encroachments into the public right-of-way.
